The left side of your head is pounding when you wake up.
You’re in a darkened room.
And you’ve been captured by your enemy.
Alive.
Your eyes widen, remembering your poison tooth.
You bite down hard immediately.
And then you wait for sweet death to come. It’s better than being tortured by them.
You close your eyes.
And wait.
And wait.
But nothing happens.
You touch the side of your face, confused.
“Little toothache?” a deep voice calls out in amusement—the same voice from earlier when you were taken.
You reach in your mouth, pressing your fingers on your back gums, and discover it’s gone.
They removed your poisonous tooth.
He chuckles.
The sound is low and pleasant, surprising you.
“You didn’t think we’d leave it there, did you?”
You ignore him. “Who are you?” you yell to your captor.
He makes his way into the light and glares down at you.
It takes everything to keep your jaw from dropping at the gorgeous man in front of you.
He’s silent as his eyes roam over your face.
He pulls out a long blade and puts the sharp tip under your chin,
forcing it up so your eyes meet his.
